I will accept responsibility for not reading the fine print until my move was in progress and I was left waiting for my stuff to show up and stressed, angry, and frustrated beyond belief. They don’t send you the fine print until after you pay your deposit and book your move. This is in the fine print of your binding estimate and you would think it is an important enough detail that they would verbally go over this, but that isn’t the case. Their agreement with the moving companies is that the actual movers have 30 BUSINESS (not counting Weekends or Holidays) days starting the first day AFTER the date you provide as your first available delivery date, to make delivery of your belongings. You will not get any assistance from the Sales Department once your move is in progress. Even when they are on the phone they verbally tap dance around the truth and never call back when they say they are going to and do very little to help. At that point they shut you down and hang up on you. Customer Service is glad to take your phone calls until you challenge them in any way. Sales Department will tell you what they have to tell you to make the sale but very little ended up being true. Everything about this company is “smoke and mirrors”. Oh! And then there’s the issue that my belongings were delivered more than 2 weeks later than agreed to at booking. Yes my belongings were picked up as agreed but it ended up costing me $1100 more than my estimate AND I ended up leaving my living room furniture behind because it would have cost more to ship it than it was worth. (That was done by a company that operated in rented Penske trucks.) My Best Movers take their cut by way of initial deposit and then the balance is split at pickup and delivery. They are not the company who will be showing up to move you. My 2 stars is only because my stuff was picked up and eventually delivered My Best Mover is a load broker. It will cost you roughly the same in the long run and be way less stressful. Do your homework and hire one of the big reputable moving companies. To put it bluntly…RUN! My move was from Maryland to Ohio (410 miles), but those options didn’t exist in the drop down options on the review submission page. Please note that I packed all the listed items and even the inventory got reduced significantly(w.r.t the CF space ) on the pick up day. An eye opener for everyone and warning for all not to deal with these unprofessionals. Once you fall in their trap they will suck as much as they want on the item pick up day. These guys are total frauds and schemers. I was told that there are no additional fees included and also in the contract but the new company added 400 USD for packaging and 200 USD for fuel charges. After I paid them the advance they started playing all sorts of tricks on me even though their customer support started behaving wrongly on the delivery day. I had told them multiple times that pls estimate everything correctly and i don't want any last minute trouble. So the new company came with a new estimation of ~6000USD. But on the day of pick up i came to know that they had outsourced it to a different company which estimated it to be 700 CF. Rest was supposed to be paid half during pick up and half during delivery. They quoted me 2950 and i paid 920USD in advance. Even i requested them for an in-home check for a better estimation which they denied. Please make a note that I had told/requested them to correctly estimate everything and check the photos perfectly at-least a dozen times. I had around 4/5 conversations with those guys and asked them to estimate all the items individually and correctly. I had a discussion with their manager, shared all details about the inventory, mailed them the list and even shared photos of the same. I was relocating from Vancouver to Austin and got their contact online. It's my personal experience which I am going to share now.
